This Privacy Policy explains how Falcon Digital Video (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when you browse this website, create an account, place an order, subscribe to updates, send a message, or contact us on WhatsApp or by phone.

Falcon Digital Video is a Sri Lankan computer and electronics retailer. This policy describes the store website as it is built today. It is written for customers in plain language and should be reviewed by the business before it is treated as final legal advice. Website use is also governed by our Terms & Conditions.

Depending on how you use the website, we may process:

• Account details: name, email address, optional phone number, and a hashed password. We do not store your password in readable form.
• Saved addresses: recipient name, phone number, address lines, city, district, postal code and country (Sri Lanka by default).
• Order details: name, email, phone, billing and shipping addresses, products ordered, quantities, prices, coupon code if used, payment method selected (cash on delivery or bank transfer), payment status, and optional order notes.
• Contact and warranty messages: name, email, optional phone, subject and message submitted through the website form.
• Newsletter signup: the email address you submit in the footer form.
• Product reviews: name, optional email, rating, optional title and your review text.
• Technical and session data: a signed-in session cookie, and cart or wishlist items stored in your browser (including persisted cart data) so the shop remains usable between visits. Some forms also use your IP address only for short-term rate limiting to reduce abuse.

We do not ask for national identity card numbers, payment-card PANs, CVV codes or one-time bank passwords through this website. Do not send those details by email or chat.

We collect personal information from:

• You, when you register, check out, save an address, write a review, subscribe, or send a form.
• Your device, through cookies and local browser storage needed to run the store.
• Staff records created when an order is packed, updated or supported in the store dashboard.
• Messages you send to our published phone or WhatsApp number. Those conversations take place on the relevant messaging service as well as with our team.

We use personal information to:

• Create and secure customer accounts, including password-reset emails when email delivery is configured.
• Process, fulfil, invoice and support orders placed through checkout.
• Show order history, saved addresses and profile details when you are signed in.
• Respond to contact, warranty and WhatsApp enquiries.
• Send newsletter updates only if you subscribe.
• Moderate and display product reviews you submit.
• Protect the website against spam and abusive submissions.
• Operate optional analytics or advertising pixels if tracking IDs are entered in store settings.

We do not sell personal information. We may share information only as needed to operate the store, for example with:

• Authorised Falcon Digital Video staff who process orders, messages and after-sales requests.
• Delivery partners, when an order is dispatched, using the name, phone number and address required to deliver the parcel.
• Hosting, database and optional email-delivery providers that store or transmit store data on our behalf.
• Analytics providers, only if Google Analytics or Meta Pixel IDs are configured in admin settings. If those fields are empty, those scripts are not loaded.
• Authorities, if we are legally required to disclose information.

Checkout currently offers cash on delivery and bank transfer. This website does not send card details to a card gateway. If an online card processor is added later, that provider’s privacy terms would also apply.

This website uses a small number of cookies and browser storage features to operate the shop:

• Session cookie: an HTTP-only session cookie is used to keep you signed in after login. It is required for My Account, checkout while signed in, and admin access for staff.
• Local browser storage: cart, wishlist, compare and recently viewed items, plus the light/dark theme preference, are stored in your browser so they persist between visits.
• Optional analytics cookies: Google Analytics or Meta Pixel cookies load only if those tracking IDs are entered in store settings. If the IDs are empty, those scripts and cookies are not used.

You can block non-essential cookies in your browser. Blocking the session cookie will prevent sign-in. Clearing local storage will empty the cart and wishlist on that device.

The website may include links to social profiles, maps, manufacturer pages or WhatsApp. Those services are operated by third parties. Their privacy practices are described in their own policies. Falcon Digital Video is not responsible for content or data handling on websites we do not control.

This website sells computers and electronics and is intended for adults and other customers who can form a valid contract. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for marketing. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us and we will review the record.

Account passwords are stored as one-way hashes. The signed-in session uses an HTTP-only cookie. Admin tools are limited to authorised staff roles. No website can guarantee absolute security; please use a strong password and sign out on shared devices.

We keep account, order, review and support records for as long as needed to run the store, handle warranty or accounting follow-up, and resolve disputes. Newsletter emails are kept while the subscription remains active. You may ask us about deletion of account-related data; some order records may need to be retained.

Subject to applicable law and records we must keep, you may:

• Access or update profile and address details from My Account when you are signed in.
• Request a copy of, correction to, or deletion of personal data we hold about you.
• Unsubscribe from the newsletter by contacting us with the email address you used to subscribe.
• Choose not to create an account and still browse the shop. Checkout still needs delivery and contact details to complete an order.

Send privacy requests through the Contact Us page using the email address on your account where possible.

If you have a privacy concern, contact Falcon Digital Video first so we can try to resolve it. You may also have rights under applicable data protection or consumer law in Sri Lanka. This policy does not replace advice from a qualified advisor about those rights.

The store is operated for customers in Sri Lanka. Hosting, email or analytics providers may process data on servers outside Sri Lanka. Where that happens, we rely on those providers to apply reasonable safeguards for the service they supply.

We may update this page from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when the published version changed. Continued use of the website after an update means you should read the current version.
